The suspension of two Indian Premier League teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals meant that it was time to bring in a few changes in the next year’s IPL edition. The teams were banned for their involvement in the 2013 IPL spot fixing scandal.
A few days ago the aforementioned IPL teams were replaced by two new teams, Pune and Rajkot, in order to fill the void left by the former IPL giants. In the auction the Pune franchise was cheaper as compared to the Rajkot entity which is why the Pune team will get to pick the first player from the draft which is scheduled to take place today.
According to latest reports the former Chennai and Rajasthan players were inducted in both teams and the official list is now available
