One of my boyfriend's friends, whom I've only met once in passing, has been chatting a lot with me via facebook. He's aggressive and always looking for a fight or to cause contention. He flirts occasionally and it's really uncomfortable. I won't talk to him unless my boyfriend is in the room.

Yesterday, my boyfriend was telling him about how he was going to propose and told him not to say anything to me about the plan. The friend responded with, "I don't share our conversations with her, you do." He was upset that the night before, while we're sitting side by side, studying, we had seen what was going on on the other person's screen and had discussed what he was saying to each of us. My boyfriend explained the situation and the friend told him to chat via phone and hide it from me.

1. I find it inappropriate to ask people in a committed relationship to not discuss your conversations unless it's illegal to discuss them, a surprise for one partner or the other, or a very rare conversation on a very sensitive topic. Otherwise, how dare you require us to hide that from each other, especially when you find it appropriate to flirt with one partner or bash on one or the other.

2. I find it inappropriate to be flirting with your friend's soon-to-be fiance or for you to bash one partner to the other.

3. I find it inappropriate to try to play committed partners against each other. If I asked my parents for something when I was little and he or she didn't care they would tell me to go ask the other parent so we could never get one to say yes when the other had said no. My parents didn't let their three year olds play them against each other. I'm not going to let the friend with the maturity of a three year old play me against my soon-to-be husband either.

Obviously I'm upset and this is strongly worded. I wouldn't state it this way when I confront the friend later today. But, am I crazy in my sentiments?
