The name of the religion is Islam, which comes from an Arabic root word meaning "peace" and "submission." Islam teaches that one can only find peace in one's life by submitting to Almighty God (Allah) in heart, soul and deed. The same Arabic root word gives us "Salaam alaykum," ("Peace be with you"), the universal Muslim greeting. Islam is a religion for all from what ever race or back ground they might be. that is why Islamic civilization is based on an unity which stand completely against any racial or ethnic discrimination. each ethnic and racial group which embraced Islam, made its contributions to the one Islamic civilization to which every one belonged.

The sense, brotherhood and sisterhood was so much emphasized that it over came all the local attachments to a particular tribes, race or language all which became subservient  to the universal brotherhood and  sisterhood of Islam.the global civilization that created by Islam permitted people of diverse ethnic back ground to work together in  cultivating various art and science. the global civilization created by Islam also succeeded in activating the mind the thoughts of people who entered its field. in fact, this tradition of intellectual activity was eclipsed only at the beginning of modern time as result of weakening of youth among the Moslem have regained political independence.
