When 2017 in Turkey was just 75 minutes old, a gunman firing between 120 and 180 rounds in a seven-minute attack at the waterside Reina nightclub in Istanbul of Turkey where people had gathered for New Year's celebrations on Sunday killed at least 39 people. At least 15 of the dead were foreign nationals and at least 69 people were being treated in hospitals, four in serious condition. The attacker is reported to have been armed with a long-barreled weapon which he left at the scene of the incident and went away. There is still no claim of responsibility for the attack and authorities too have not named any suspects.
