She didn’t like him.
He liked him. So much.
He befriended her friends, just so he could be a part of their circle. He treated them during their lunch breaks, just so the friendship would go well. He buys every single thing being offered to him by her friends, just so they wanted him to be around them. Still, she didn’t like him. He studies really well even it was not really his style, just so he could impress her in class. He volunteered himself in every recitation and class program, just so he could somehow get her attention – the littlest attention.
Still, she didn’t like him.
He is beginning to feel restless. Thinking that all his efforts were in vain anyway.
But he was never the type who quits. He just “rested” for a little while, just didn’t show up and didn’t make efforts to get her attention like he used to for the past six months. While “resting”, he is simply thinking of other ways and means to at least get her attention. Little did he know that with what he have done – stopping for a while – and giving her the space, actually got her attention.
She still didn’t like him, or so she thought.
She started missing him.
Then, on one occasion, something startled her – a little hurt even.
She didn’t why, but then soon realized.
She saw him with somebody else sweetly singing a love song in one school competition.
That event got her.
It got her to realize that she likes him all along. She hoped in deep down in her heart that he will eventually call her and talk to her, like what he usually does.
Days, weeks passed, there was no call or anything. It was like nothing happened. It was for about a month, he mustered all the guts that he had to finally, once and for all, ask her if he do have a chance to be in her heart.
What happened totally surprised him. She answered a yes. It all started with a song… it made her realize something she didn’t know of.
She likes him.
