Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Schalke are the teams most affected by injuries and suspensions as the Champions League returns with four last-16 ties this week.

For PSG, their 2-2 draw with Caen at the weekend proved costly. They suffered an astonishing five injuries during the match, with four of those players having been ruled out by Laurent Blanc for their game against Chelsea.

Marquinhos, Lucas Moura, Yohan Cabaye and Serge Aurier will miss the clash with Jose Mourinho’s side, while Blaise Matuidi (knee) is the most hopeful of the five to recover in time. Javier Pastore (calf) was already a doubt and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Opponents Chelsea, comparatively, only have John Obi Mikel (knee) as an injury doubt having benefited from a free weekend.
