Previously, I made a list of my top five most used applications on my mobile device. The mentioned applications were as follows:
5. Facebook Messenger
4. Google Chrome
3. Camera
2. Google Keep
1. bitLanders
I got my own fair share of reasons as to why these apps are my necessities. You may check the blog on the link below:
My Top (5) Five Most Used Mobile Apps

Today, I am sharing the applications which are used by my husband James most of the time. Note that we are using different mobile operating systems. I have an Android mobile device, a Samsung Note 4 while he is using an iOS, an iPhone SE. So far, both of us are quite satisfied with these devices. I actually like that I can use the mobile phone with writing using its pen and even use the keyboard swipe continuous input which is not available on the iOS which is the number one reason why I like Android than iOS. Facebook messenger bubble head feature is also another reason, it makes typing very very fast and easy.
Actually, I have prepared a few questions for him to answer so this blog is composed of questions and answers regarding his own mobile app usage.
1. Facebook Messenger

While I have set up the Facebook messenger in the 5th place, James however has it as the top 1. Here are his own reasons.
Question: Why is Facebook Messenger your top 1 application?
Answer: It's a medium for me to communicate with my brother who's working abroad as a nautical. We'd communicate every single day because I have to handle his financial stuffs while he is away and he is asking for errands too.

It is also another way for me to communicate with my parents who are in Oslob. They are the ones who take care of the chickens at the farm and I need to monitor then too, give them instructions and remind them with whatsoever step needed specially for breeding the chickens as well as conditioning.
2. YouTube

I do have my own YouTube application but James is more of a YouTube lover than I do. But whenever I watch YouTube, I like it when done on the desktop so I can see a wider view. Then it would be hard for me to stop so I am making it a point that I am done with all my work and blogging before I even try to open the site.
Question: What is your favorite thing about YouTube?
Answer: The best thing about YouTube is that it has become a repository of helpful videos. This is where I find tutorials in improving my skills such as in Development, Photography, Cinematography and other interesting topics.
Question: Which YouTube channels are you subscribed to?

Answer: For Cinematography and Photography: Peter McKinnon, Travel Feels, Tony and Chelsea Northrup
For Development: Academind, Serverless, Ionic and Firebase
Question: How often do you watch YouTube in a day?
Answer: 2-3 hours per day
3. Facebook

Question: Why do you use Facebook?
Answer: This is where I get updates from famous gamefowl breeders and friend breeders who are posting their updates on Facebook. This is also another medium for us to advertise our own chickens and a possible market place. In fact, we have sold a few chickens by solely posting them on Facebook.
For an introvert person like James, it is quite a wonder how he is able to socialize on Facebook. Well, actually, he don't socialize, he don't even like or add comments. Perhaps the only time that he will like a post is when I tag him in a photo.

He had also set certain preferences within his news feed, he unfollowed a lot of friends to ensure that he is only seeing what he wanted to see.
He uses the application on his phone for around 1-2 hours per day.
4. Google Keep

Question: Why is Google Keep included on the list?
Answer: I use Google Keep for storing information which I need easy access. I started using it from the time I started my first job.
Question: What are the example of information which you log inside the app?

Answer: There are a lot of things. Here are the latesr notes I have added:
Notes on time intervals on taking timelapse video
List of music attributions for creating videos
Sound cloud tracks
His personal numbers like SSS, Pagibig and etc government related numbers
Visa Requirements
It was my husband who had introduced me to Google Keep and I have been very thankful to him for that. In fact, he is the one who's been introducing me to several websites and application which make my work and blogging way more efficient.
5. Adobe Lightroom CC

Question: What is the main reason why you have included this on the list?
Answer: Whenever we are traveling, Adobe Lightroom is needed when there's a need to edit photos while on the go. This however is just one of the many apps for photo editing, there are other apps required before I could use Adobe Lightroom CC such as Panasonic Image App and Sony Play Memories. The two are the applications used in transferring my photos taken using the Panasonic Lumix GX85 and Sony NEX-5R respectively.
Special Mention: Spotify

I only have asked for his top five but he has given me another one.
Question: How come you mentioned Spotify?
Answer: I have to because it is a necessary app for me specially whenever we are traveling. If I need to chill while on the road, I have my favorite music tracks saved offline so I don't need the internet to play them.
This however is only a special mention because it is not being used in a daily basis because we have desktop PC at home and at work so he listens to music on those platforms too.
As you noticed, no games, not much social media although James has bitLanders app on his phone which he was using before way back two years ago, he somehow lost interest in other social media platforms because he has no time to work on those right now. He also don't play games on his mobile phone just like me. But actually, he influenced me about not playing on the phone because it actually takes a lot of my time. In fact when I still was playing Candy Crush before, I have been very unproductive so I am glad I had already disciplined myself not to play the game anymore. The only thing which I need to do now is to delete those applications out of my mobile.
That's it. I finally got completed this blog. How about you? Do you have a specific list of top five most used application on your mobile devices?
