Japan are considered at to be at the forefront of new technology, but their latest trend is more of a low-tech solution to a high-tech problem. We present to you, the ‘cardboard theatre.’
It’s the flying solo kind of theatre, or private movie house, but we’re sure with a little tweaking it could be manipulated to fit two heads instead of one.
You could be ready for action in minutes. All you do is take a pretty big cardboard box and cut a couple of chunks out of it, one for your head and one for your phone or tablet.
The best way to use this, in our completely untested opinion, is to kick back on your bed and chill out in the darkness, all of it completely hands free.
There are a couple of minor problems to consider. The speakers may be blunted by cardboard, but there is always headphones for that. The other one, of course, is snacks. How are you going to get food in your mouth if your head is stuck in a cardboard box? First world problems, we know.
If you’re the jumpy type we’d probably steer clear of horror movies too, otherwise you’ll spend the whole time panicking that outside of your little cardboard box somebody is stood over you ready to crash the axe.
