Jello shots are small drinks made by mixing alcohol with Jell-o brand gelatin dessert. There are multiple ways to make Jello shots, combination of flavors, and serving ideas.  

 

How to make Jello shots

Follow the preparation directions that are printed on the Jell-o gelatin dessert box except replace one cup of water with one cup of alcohol. Pour the alcohol into the mixture after the hot water completely dissolves the gelatin dessert mix. Pour the Jello shots into small individual cups or bowls and place in the refrigerator to cool. The Jello shots will take several hours to cool.

Vodka and clear rum are the typical choices of alcohol for creating Jello shots. Most alcohol mixes perfectly with any flavor of Jell-o gelatin dessert mix. Flavored vodka is a common choice of alcohol, and creates unique Jello shots.

The most common cooling and serving method utilizes small plastic disposable cups - the smaller the size of the cup the better.

 

Jello giggler shots

Cookie molds may be used to make specialized Jello giggler shots, or large molds to make a Jello giggler cake. If making Jello giggler shots follow the directions on the gelatin box for making Jell-o Gigglers while making the Jello shots.
