Citing Contactmusic, Thursday (04/09/2014), Melissa, daughter Joan, Thursday (09/04/2014) announced the sad news that his mother had died.

"With great sadness, I announce my mom, Joan Rivers breathed last at 01:17 surrounded by family and close friends. Myself and the children would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provide to my mother, "said Melissa.

"Like my mother's biggest goal in life is to make people laugh. Though difficult for us to do now, I know the mother's last wish is that we can laugh again," she continued.

Joan Rivers was born Joan Alexandra Molinsky name, last June 1933. He became a television comedy sensation in America after appearing on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, in 1965, and then the permanent guest host Carson.
