John Travolta & Samuel L. Jackson Hostages-Iran, by Ambassador mo

Iran has had trouble in making friends even as its harshest critics are not exactly winning popularity contests either at the United Nations. The riot and rather brief incursion into the United Kingdom’s embassy in Tehran was a severe diplomatic breach. It was not accompanied by anything resembling the takeover of the US embassy in 1979. However, it does remind of that most shameful period that Tehran still has difficulty in overcoming in its recent narrative. The UN Security Council also took note of the diplomatic breach, (presumably triggered by stepped up sanctions adopted by Britain, US and allies and directed at Iran’s nuclear program – Read: -“Iran Nuclear Sanctions Coming – IAEA” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/blog_post/iran-nuclear-sanctions-coming-iaea-by-ambassador-mo/41912. The UN Security Council unanimously adopted the following statement: “The members of the Security Council called on the Iranian authorities to protect diplomatic and consular property and personnel, and to respect fully their international obligations in this regard.” Iran’s Foreign Ministry did issue a diplomatic apology. Unfortunately for Iran though this is not what will be recalled when Iran speaks. Also, it heightens the speculation regarding an ongoing face-off within Iran's own political establishment between hardliners and those relatively considered more moderate. See Film Report - “Iran Nuclear Program” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/iran-nuclear-program/25323). Who is “Pulp Fiction” Fan? The only apparent casualties of the riots were John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson taken hostage - well, kind of! While BBC and most of media focused on the defacing of the Queen’s portrait from the Embassy as well as the chaos and burning of UK/US flags, we want to know who in the British Mission had this big poster of “Pulp Fiction” (Photo Above of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson characters) fame on their wall? It is almost as undiplomatic as the rioters who broke in - wonder if any British staff member will list it as "missing" on any reports filed internally or with Iranian police!
