The urban cowboy bar Johnny Utah's in mid-town Manhattan has a new sexual harassment lawsuit. According to Bouncer Chronicles, 8 former staffers of the West 51st Street watering hole filed a class-action lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court last Tuesday. The claim is Utah's management insisted female staffers "take off their shirts" and kiss each other while riding the mechanical bull.
The suit seeks damages on behalf of 6 females and 2 males claiming workers were cheated out of wages, overtime pay, had to deal with unwelcome sexual comments and physical contact. The plaintiffs include ex-servers, bartenders and Daisy Duke girls who roam Rockefeller Center in short-shorts soliciting men to check the place out.
The suit names owner John Sullivan and managers Thomas Casabona and JR Lozado, all of Manhattan.
