As a member of indigenous people in Bukidnon, it is much pride to introduce you to one of the fascinating ground in our own province, Kaamulan Nature Park. This park is made in commendation to the seven (7) tribes of Bukidnon: Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon, and Umayamnon. Kaamulan came from the tribal wod "amul" which signifies gathering. It signifies gathering for a purpose- a datuship ritual, a wedding ceremony, a thanksgiving festival during harvest time, a peace pact, or all of these together.
With its expanse of green foliage and cool air, Kaamulan Park is one of those perfect getaways to commune with nature. The hilly terrain of the park surrounded with natural wonders makes it an ideal place for picnics and quiet moment with family and friends. The park has 500-hectare tree park consisting of educational, scientific, and heritage parks. Abounding with pine trees, it has also sanctuary for a diverse variety of flora that will definitely leave a positive mark on the environment. Not only that, the visible rows of tall trees that surrounds the are makes it more refreshing to have a breath of fresh air when you jog around the park or simply make a wander.
Aside from wondrous rows of landscape of trees and botanical species, it has also different houses of the tribes that lived in the region. It is a life-sized replica of the real houses built by these people, which is our "ninuno", that makes the Kaamulan Ground as it is. It has been long known to other town surrounding the province that the park is also an ideal area for camping and horseback riding.
As for me, whenever I wanted to have some leisurely walk any time of the day, I dont need to go far for me to enjoy nature at its best, our very own park has it all.
