Karakuram is a urdu word which mean the area of mountains.Karakoram highway(kkh) is a road which connect Pakistan and china across the high mountain rang.karakoram highway is one of the highest paved road in world.The KKH is constructed both Pakistan and china engineers since 1966 to 1982.during the construction of karakoram highway lot of engineers and worker are died.when we travel through karakoram highway we can see the place where the workers and engineers are died.
The karakoram highway contain 806 meter and started from Abbottabad and finshed at khanjrab top.The karakoram highway meet with Indus river at thakot area and finsh at gilget point.In this range it covers lot areas of Khayberpakhtonkhwa like Abbottabad,mansehra,batagram,besham,kohistan and also few part of gilget baltistan like chilas,jigilot,and central gilget From gilget then the karakorm highway along with the hunza river and it cover valley of nagar,hunza and khanjrab top is the last point of pakistan bounry.From the point of thakot the heavy mountain range also start like Kohihindokash. kho Hamaliya and karakorm.The western end of hamaliya marked with the ninth highest peak point of the world .The map of Karakoram high way is.

The Karakorm is the 8th wounder of the world.why the karakuram highway count in 8th wounder its due to the danger and highest road of the world.In one side u can find the heavy mountain and in other side down u can find the rivers.
The main purpose of this road is not only to connect pakistan and china but also do a business through this road,So the road is very important for the business purpose too and both countries ding lot of business too.karakorm highway also know as sharaha Rasham which mean through this road the old peoples doing the business of Rasham. Rasham is a cloth name.
The karakorm highway is very dangers because most part of his area are in danger zone which called sliding areas like the whole area of kohistan and tatapani. That's not easy for a FWO when in any point damage due to sliding to open in rain day it must wait for sunny day and it well take few days or may be some time it well take few weeks too.The whole responsibility on FWO to look after the karakorm highway.
That's true the karakorm highway is little danger for journey but in other way the karakorm is passing through very beautiful areas,these areas contain lot of water falls,lacks and forest. that,s all natural and adventurer so that's why from all over the world tourist come in these area and spend happy moments of own life.
But now a days the real shape of karakorm is completely damaged due to sliding and rain because after the construction with the help of china the road not again repaired.Now the government of pakistan start to repair the road because the tourism is the basic thing for any country income to make strong own economic condition.
