Kashmir is a disputed territory situated in South Asia among Pakistan , India ,and China . total area of Jammu and Kashmir is 222,236 km² . It is divided into four separate regions .
One region is under the control on India called Indian controlled Kashmir , One region is under the control of China called Chinese controlled Kashmir, One region is under the control of Pakistan called Pakistani controlled Kashmir and one part is free called Azad jammu & Kashmir .
Before the division of Subcontinent there were 635 separate independent states in Subcontinent . One of them was Jammu and Kashmir being ruled by Kashmiri Non Muslim Raja’s . All other states were merged into either India or Pakistan after separation but jammu and kashmir state was not merged into any of two countries .
98 % of kashmiri population was and still is Muslim . In 1947 , when India was Broken and pakistan came into being , there was rule of Raja Hari Singh in Jammu and Kashmir.
After partition, Indian leadership put pressure on Raja Hari Singh and asked him to merge kashmir into india . Kashmiri people did not want to join india as , majority of Kashmiries were Muslims and they wanted to join Pakistan as Paksitan was a Muslim country . Since the ruler of kashmir Raja Hari Singh was Non Muslim , so , he was against Pakistan . He decided to Keep Kashmir an Independent state and should not join Pakistan Or India . But India put a lot of pressure on him . Result was that , he signed an agreement with India to merge kashmir into India despite of the fact that he himself was against of this agreement , but under pressure he did it . so , kashmir was gone under the occupation of India and this all was against the wishes of all Kashmiri people .
Pakitsan tried his best to solve the issue at that time . Pakistan went through the world to solve this Issue . In 27th of october 1747 , when India brought his Army in Kashmir , Pakistani Army and Pakistani tribels fought with Indian Army and freed a part of Kashmir , today called FANA and Azad Kashmir . Other territory is still under the occupation of India . China also fought with India and snatched a part of Kashmir named Aksai Chin . So , as a whole kashmir is today divided into four parts .
Today Kashmir is on fire . Kashmiries are being killed daily by Indian Army . the reason is , they just want their basic rights . they want freedom .
They are struggling at every forum of the world for their basic rights and self determination . May God help them and give them their rights . Ameen !
