Keira Knightley Posed Topless to Protest Photo Retouching

Keira Knightley bared it all for a recent issue of Interview magazine as a personal protest against photo alterations. In an interview with British newspaper The Times, the 29-year-old explained that she demanded the topless photos remain unedited so people could see what she really looked like. "I've had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it's paparazzi photographers or for film posters," she said. "That [shoot] was one of the ones where I said: 'OK, I'm fine doing the topless shot so long as you don't make them any bigger or retouch.' Because it does feel important to say it really doesn't matter what shape you are." Back in 2004, controversy swirled around Knightley's enhanced depiction in the movie poster for "King Arthur," and in 2006, she came under fire after Vanity Fair ran an altered picture of a nude Knightley and Scarlett Johansson with a fully clothed Tom Ford on the cover. But today it's all about fighting the industry standard. Check out the video to hear what else the actress had to say about her untouched topless photos and tune in to "The Insider With Yahoo" on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
