A few months back, Veronica Mars showrunner Rob Thomas started a Kickstarter campaign to produce a movie sequel for the TV series starring Kristin Bell. The crowdfunding effort raised more than $5.7 million.

We now have a release date! It will hit the theaters on March 14, 2014, one year after the Kickstarter project was launched. The date was also confirmed on the movie's social media pages.
