Sir Muhammad Iqbal (Urdu: محمد اقبال‎) (9 November 1877 – 21 April 1938), extensively known as Allama Iqbal (علامہ اقبال), was an academic, craftsman, legal advisor, intellectual, and politician in British India who is by and large seen as having spurred the Pakistan Movement. He is seen as a champion amongst the most basic figures in Urdu literature, with creative work in both the Urdu and Persian languages.
