My brother and I just finished our wine-making project for the Big Boss, Doc. Doc is my brother's and husband's employer and we happen to live with him in the same roof for almost 6 long years now.
In our stay here, we never felt being treated differently of being left behind by Doc or by his two wonderful children who are living in the United States with their respective families. Doc is a retired cardiologist in the United States and he preferred to stay here in the Philippines after he decided to retire. He is a pure-blooded Filipino but he and his wife lived in the US and raised their family there after they finished their studies here in the Philippines.
There is nothing bad that we could say towards this family. They treated us as their own family and my daughter even calls Doc her "Lolo" (Grandfather).
This wine-making thing together with the ginger-tea making and other "extra-curricular" activities that I do even if I am not an employee of Doc is all done by me for free and all for our love for Doc. We love him as our own Father and Grandfather as well... He is already 80 years old and we want him to enjoy life while he is still strong and healthy.
