4 decades of war and instability in Afghanistan has destroyed the whole infrastructure.Afghanistan has made great roads towards stability in the last 8 to 10 years.From building schools ,roads and other infrastructure but the lack of medical facilities in Afghanistan is very much visible.

Patients from all over Afghanistan rush to Pakistan for even minor problems where they gets humiliated by the Pakistan local police and then ripped off by the Pakistani doctors.You can see the  tsunami of people coming by torkham border to  peshawar  where two large buisness oriented  medical institutions  "Rehman medical institute  and northwest general hospital" are streching their pockets to high limits.When you visit the hospital yourself then you will Feel the pain for  Afghans.Every  Average patient bill exceeds 15000 excluding the travel and accomodation.The doctors provides them with wrong information to get more tests done and prescribe them high amount of medicine to have their share of  commission  from the phamaceutical companies.Every taxi driver in torkham border is in touch with one of the hospitals and they get paid for bringing patients to the hospital.You will never see Pakistani patients in these private hospitals but they knows that they are here for buisness and not treating patients.It makes me feel sad to see Afghans in such huge amount and get treated in Pakistan.

We have got good medical training in Afghanistan and we are producing good Doctors but they prefer to work in Pakistan or any other country in the world.We have no good hospitals which should be equipped with all the modern era machinery to provide good care to the patients.Every day 4 flights full of patients goes to India for treatment.The point that i want to make is why dont we equip our own hospitals even if they are buisness oriented .Why is the government no providing enough funds to  upgrade the hospitals or building new facilities.We are loosing our doctors just because we dont have respect for their skills and their hardwork.Every body wants to live out of Afghanistan  because of medical facilities.I would suggest to the Ministey of health to look in to the issue and  Save tge Afghan from humiliation in other countries.
