The Cordilleran have their own locally known songs and movies. Lampitok is a local and first animated movie made in Cordillera particularly in Benguet. There are a lot of local movies but this one is different from the past local films.

It is all about the life of young man named Lampitok and the people(ghosts and skeletons)  he meets and talks with.. Other than the love story, what made it more fun and interesting was that they compiled the popular jokes and humors of the locals such as using the dialects and the different intonations of different places here in the region. The most popular word or much better to say an expression from the movie that most of the locals used now is "ay inayan ito". This expression is used more on a friendly conversation but can be used also depending on how you say and use it.

Since it is the first animated movie produced here in the region, the animations had a lot of flaws especially on the animation but the movie is a sure hit to the locals. I am sure there would be more to come and the animation quality will surely improve.

Here in our place, just say the name Lampitok and they would know who it is.
