There has been a property boom in Afghanistan after the fall of the Talibans.Properties once sold for a value 100 times lesser than recent times.The properties were sold for millions of dollars and land mafia started overtaking people properties.They used to spend thousand,s of dollars to make sure they have all the fake documents made legal.

I will summarize a recent story that has folded infront of me.one of my friends bought a property in Wazir Akbar khan area of kabul for about $80000 at the end of the talibans regime but once the property boom started the land mafia had kept their eyes on the property.They provided fake documents stating that the property belongs to a grandson of Ghazi Amanullah khan who lives in italy.They provided the documents to show that the property belongs to him and by the will of our corrupt judicial system and local people they overtook the peoperty .The value of this metioned property is about $1.5 million .Judges were paid handsome amount of money to take the decision their way.The owners were left shell shocked and had to take shelter in a rented property in Kabul.They were Threatened not to lodge a complaint against them and had to keep quite.

The point i want to make is why is the Government quite over the issues of land mafia ,where they can look for a house with a better value and then they bring some one with no legal status in Afghanistan to claim the property.The situation is worsening everyday with more and more properties been taken from the original owners.They have the backing of local politicians and warlords to whom no one can argue.I would like all my countrymen to lodge a protest through social media ,electronic media and print media to the government to stop this cruelty and lets get together to work for the future of our country.
