LAUNCHING a NEW "CHANNEL" – “Ecology-Diplomat” by SUSAN

Ecology and Diplomacy is an ever more relevant blending. Borders and culture are no longer boundaries to environmental degradation and its consequences. Of course, borders never were a very effective way to stop someone else’s waste or poison from reaching your country and citizens, and vice versa. (See our Recent Film Report on the Danube - Black Sea Eco-Cleanup “- clearing the “dead zones” after years of exploitation, pollution and disasters - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/danube-black-sea-eco-cleanup/26003 ). The difference is that we have ever more evidence of the futility of approaching such issues only through national institutions. Whether radiation, water waste, air pollution or loss of species, the effect is global. The approach to remedy but also raise awareness and discover solutions must also involve global cooperation. Channel Description The Earth’s survival is a mutual concern. Borders nor culture can long insulate us from the curse of ecological abuse and degradation. Individuals and groups may perceive the reality differently though even as imminent threat intrudes our waters, soils and skies. International cooperation is frequently heralded, sometimes sincerely pursued but it is a methodology than could optimize benefits to all humankind – cleaner environment, more efficient, carbon neutral resource utilization, preserving natural habitats and biodiversity. It is a necessity but should also be seen as an opportunity. Ecology-Diplomat focuses on the issues, causes and personalities from debates at the United Nations to efforts in the field. The “Ecology-Diplomat” Channel can be accessed via following link - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/c/ecology-diplomat Or directly from Diplomatically Incorrect at “Channels”, Diversity of Film Reports Below are just a few of the earlier Film Reports related to “Ecology–Diplomat” from around New Year or before – which we have posted on Diplomatically Incorrect. Newer Reports can be accessed as well, but we thought it may be a good opportunity to remind of previous reports and provide a timeline that also reflects action, effort and information. “Danny Glover to Amazon” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/danny-glover-to-amazon/22773 “Morocco Solar Energy” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/morocco-solar-energy/22796 “Saving the Tiger” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/saving-the-tigerworld-bank-joins-effort/23486 “UNESCO – Wildlife as Shared Heritage” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/wildlifeunesco-heritage-in-danger/24012 “Bio-Diversity/Green Finance” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/green-finance-world-bank/23887 “Cancun Climate Talks-What Next” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/movie/climate-talks-cancunwhat-next/23811 --- By Susan Sacirbey Find me at Face Book at "Diplomatically Incorrect" and "Diplomat Artist" Twitter – DiplomaticallyX
