By being the class monitor in my school years, I was organizing class activities and providing essential information to the teachers. Now when I think about those times, I realize that I was leading my class! When I returned from YSEL (Youth Solidarity and English Language Program), a one month program for 40 Afghan high school students from 22 provinces of Afghanistan, I have taken the lead to implement several volunteer and alumni community service projects. I assigned each of the alumna/alumnus to his or her duties and convinced them to work as a team. So, I believe that I can lead big group of people by experiencing it from early age.
