The day started with the usual routine of getting up early and getting ready for an early morning flite...reluctantly I did all of the pre flight jazz and came for the flight..I was assigned a flight to leh..I had a set of super cool coleeagues and they all were excited though everyone was sleepy and tired since getting up at 1am in the morning and doing a flight is not easy..we never expected the loads to be full for the flight...it was an overbooked flight...the flight took off for leh and soon we were about to land..
the view from above was beautiful....the snow capped mountains urged us to think of some other beautiful world where there was just peace calm and serenity...the valleys had small clear rivers flowing and the surface of the mountains looks like white sand...
Leh is in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and it is mostly mountains and valleys...the population is very less and is governed by the royal family of ladakh...this place has arid desert conditions with long and harsh winters...in winters the temperatures can dip well below freezing point and can go upto -43 degree Celsius but during summers the weather is amazingly pleasant and with all the scenic beauty it becomes a hotspot tourist destination..
We dint have a stay in leh as such ..only a few hour halt but we dint miss the scenic beauty around the airport as well...and the aircrafts have to make a very difficult landing at this place..only specially trained pilots can fly the aircraft to this place...because of the low oxygen level of this place...many people might find it difficult to adjust here...over and above its indeed a a place on earth where gods live...
