Level 6 Crewing so far

Posted on at

My first level 6 crewing experience was very demanding and challenging. During November 2013, I was a runner and stills for Rebecca Hoods drama. This was a very physical shoot for me but i loved every minute of it. Carrying equipment that was far above my level was really interesting. Looking back now, I see how that single crewing experience made my camera work tutorials on the C100 and the Jibe so much easier. The shoot was over two days and went very late until the night. Luckily travel from the end location was very short due to it be close to my home. The entire shoot was a great experience and I found it very beneficial to my film knowledge.

My next Experience was less hands on, I was assigned to Dan Cottingham's research and film idea development team. The film was attempting to incorporate game mechanics and structure. I gave ideas such as ages of people equalling levels. Also Health, energy and stamina bars. Another idea of mine was lag or glitches but only time will tell to see if he has incorporated these ideas into his film. This experience was much easier, however it gave me great stimuli to use on my next film.

More crewing Experience during April.

Coming soon!
