Last year, I filmed at a maternity hospital in Herat. This video was shown to around 60,000 people during the Global Citizen festival in New York, in order to raise money to help support maternal health in Afghanistan.
سال گذشته من در یک شفاخانه ولادت فیلمبرداری کردم. این فیلم کوته به حدود ٦٠٠٠٠ نفر در یک جشنواره به نام شهروند جهانی نشان داده شد. هدف این فیلم بود. هدف این فیلم به جمع آوری پول برای سلامت مادران در افغانستان.

Perhaps the biggest obstacle facing pregnant women is the inability to access proper care. Clinics are usually limited to urban areas, and many Afghan women in remote areas face geographic obstacles, like unpaved roads, when making the long journey to the nearest clinic by car, donkey or motorbike.
شاید بزرگترین مشکل پیش روی زنان باردار افغان دسترسی به مراقبت های مناسب است. زنان افغان در مناطق دور افتاده با مشکلات جغرافیایی روبرو میشه مانند جاده های غیر مسطح.

Afghanistan's maternal mortality rate has recently improved, and two of the reasons are an increase in the number of health-care facilities and midwives.
نرخ مرگ و میر مادران در افغانستان به تازگی بهبود یافته است، و دو تا از دلایل افزایش در تعداد از مراقبت های بهداشتی امکانات و قابله ها است.
Midwives tend to a newborn in the ICU. One of the babies that day was not able to breathe, and the quick response of midwives probably saved his life.

It was truly amazing to be present for the moment a new life entered this world.I remain grateful to the women who allowed me to be part of that incredible moment. I still think about them and the children who were born that day, and pray they have a good life.
از این مادران خیلی سپاسگزارم از اینکه با من اجازه داد که از یک لحظه خیلی زیبا و مهم باشم
من تا حالا در باره این مادران و نوزادان فکر می کنم و من دعا می کنم که همیشه یک زندگی سالم و شاد داشته باشند.
