I'm not sure exactly when I realised it, but I know now

What Did It Feel Like? 

Well the feeling is like... just pure amazing. It's the best feeling in the world. It's so good to have that one person you can tell anything to. Some say love is painful but this is not painful. It's easy and gentle yet powerful and electrifying. When we met it was a 'who is that' kind of moment - you know like Bella and Edward in Twilight - only better.

What Happened Next? 

We met at my friend's Christmas party in December. I added him on facebook, we talked a bit and then I realised that he could be serious boyfriend potential. So I asked him out. It took him a week to respond. I got his response at 9pm the day before my birthday. Talk about an amazing birthday present. Of course I didn't waste a second getting on the phone with my friends and telling them. I tried to keep it a secret from my parents but they found out soon enough. He was just absolutely perfect, definitely the best I ever had. I was so happy he said yes! And then the first time he said 'I love you'. I had guys tell me they loved me before but with him it was just different - more meaningful.

Lessons Learned

• I always thought that teens couldn't know what actual love was. That's why when I met Shamus. I didn't want to admit it was love because people would call me crazy. Now I know myself that there is no one else I would ever want to be with. Shamus and I are proof of love at first sight - even if we are only teens. I think there is somebody out there for everyone, I was just lucky enough to find mine early.
