Liverpool, FACT, and The Headspace Project

Posted on at

Yesterday my Uni class went on a creative trip to Liverpool. As part of the trip we was meant to go to Tate Modern, the Bluecoat gallery, and the Walker gallery

After a good hour or two in the Tate,  me and my friend Elliott made our way through Liverpool on the hunt for the Bluecoat gallery. We ended up going in the wrong direction and found ourselves in front of FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology).

We went round and saw some amazing pieces of work by Mark Boulos, and I felt so inspired by his work. The way his documentaries are told and shown was an incredible experience, and i am so glad we stumbled upon FACT

After we had explored the depth of Mark Boulos' work (we went round twice) we ended up having our heads graphically generated. This was for a database for a project called The Headspace Project, who are trying to build a database of head shapes and sized, so that they can help with life changing craniofacial surgery in children.

At around 3:30 we went to the Walker gallery for a catch up and a reflection on the day, and how it has effected our creativity. All in all i found it an amazing trip, and found my creative juices flowing. I cannot big up the Headspace Project and Mark Boulos up enough. Both inspiring in separate ways.
