London ground is a journey into LONDON (under) GROUND art and music scene in 2009.

LONDON GROUND consists in a series of short experimental documentaries made by filmmaker claudia tomaz in collaboration with artists of different practices (music, film, art with community, events) in London (under) ground. The films will be distributed online on MICRO FILMS web tv.

The artists I chose are not mainstream ones, but people with dreams and their feet on the ground, people who’s ideas and practices are unusual and original. They use tools and media available nowadays, and use their art (doesn’t matter which) to communicate ideas, to connect with people, to make a change in the world. That is my interest as well, as a person and film maker. The films will be short and made in collaboration with the chosen artists.

This project is also a way for me to find my GROUND in London, a city still new to me…

Films are uploaded on MICRO FILMS WEB TV as soon as they are made, hopefully creating a platform that allows us to make films, every day.
