This is an idea i had last night for a short horror script for next years virgin shorts
INT. BATHROOM - MORNING
Martin a man in his mid 30s brushes his teeth and washes his face
INT. BEDROOM - MORNING
Martin puts his tie on
INT. FRONT DOOR - MORNING
Martin picks up his front door key and leaves
CUT TO TITLE: LOST AND FOUND
INT. BUS - MORNING
Martin sits on a bus watching the world go bye, he is snapped out of his daze by the bell going and the bus stopping. The man across from him who is pale and blank looking gets up, he glances at Martin for a second. His eyes are glazed over and the man looks sick, for a second he terrifies Martin before exiting the Bus. Martin stares blankly out of the window again. As the bus approaches his stop he gets up to leave but notices a camera on the seat across from him. He picks it up and leaves the bus.
INT. WORK - DAY
Martin sits at his desk staring at the computer screen, he is caught up in the same mountainous dull routine. He looks to the side where he sees the camera he found sitting. He picks it up and grabs his jacket.
INT. CAMERA STORE - DAY
Martin hands the film over to the clerk
MARTIN: How soon can I pick it up
CLERK: We do a two hour service
MARTIN: That's fine
EXT. PARK - DAY
Martin sits on a bench eating alone
INT. WORK - DAY
Martin sits at his desk, he checks the clock and releases it is time to leave so he gathers his things and heads out
INT. CAMERA STORE - NIGHT
Martin stands in the que, he feels like someone is watching him and he turns around but sees nothing
CLERK: Can I help you?
MARTIN: Yea I am picking up some photos The clerk looks through some photos and hands Martin an envelope. Martin puts them in his bag and leaves.
INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT
Martin sits alone at the table eating what looks like a microwave meal.
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Martin stares blankly at the TV his eyes grow heavy as they gradually begin to close. The TV starts to become effected by white noise and it sounds as if there is a voice trying to communicate, but Martins eyes close as the voice becomes clearer. The voice shouts which startles Martin and he wakes, he looks at the TV which is now only static, then he glances around the room before turning out the light and going to bed.
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Martin sits on the end of his bed head in hands wiping his eyes. He looks across at his bag and remembers the photos. He gets them out and opens the envelope and takes out the photos. The first one shows Martin sat on the bus from the point of view of the man from earlier. Martin looks confused this is not possible. The second one shows Martin in the shop as he collects the photos from the window behind where he thought he saw something. The third shows Martin downstairs just moments ago from the point of view of the TV. Martin looks confused and scared as he cant understand what he is seeing. He goes on. The fourth shows the bottom of the stairs in Martins house looking up. The fifth shows half way up the stairs. Martin cycles through the photos quickly which show a montage of the photos getting closer to his room until they stop outside his door. He looks up terrified at what must be outside of his door. There is only one picture left, he hesitates as he unveils is. The picture shows the back of Martins head, He lets out a gasp as he releases that whatever has been coming is behind him. The camera pans to reveal something out of focus behind him. Martin shuts his eyes and grits his teeth for a moment before spinning round as the thing moves at him
CUT TO BLACK
EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE - MORNING
A paperboy in his early teens approaches the house, he walks up and posts a paper through the door. As he turns around he notices a camera siting in the middle of the path he just walked up. The buy confused walks over and picks the camera up, he hears a noise in the window upstairs and looks up but sees nothing. The boy puts the camera in his paper bag and leaves.
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM WINDOW - MORNING
We are now over the shoulder of a dark figure as we watch the paperboy leave
CUT TO TITLE: LOST AND FOUND
THE END
