Next week I have a very exciting assessment in London with ICS that determines whether or not I am a suitable candidate to support and learn from a country that suffers poverty.
If I am successful I fly out in March and will spend the next three months working with other young people to make positive changes in the areas of education, health, governance, women empowerment, gender equality, sustainable living, livelihoods plus much more...
I've learnt an enormous amount about myself since my move to Manchester and have now made the decision to channel my creative interest into making a difference rather than fight it out in the TV industry - This has always been in the back of my mind but I've chosen to ignore it, not any more.
Film Annex's philosophy is something I really want to follow and I'm looking to learn as much as possible about social entrepreneurship and how I can utilise my skills to help others.
I think what's really interesting is...my dream of travelling and making films, could actually become reality.
What better way for me to get across my own education on social issues than to express it within a film - I CAN't WAIT!!!

Things to do : -
The Afghan Development Initiative!!!!
An awesome opportunity that encourages FA filmmakers to share their skills with an Afghan student by becoming their direct mentor. I've been a bit slow on the uptake for this and I'm slapping my own wrists for it because it's 100% linked to my future goals.
So, Amy, get and do it!!!!
Over and Out
