One woman was fatally shot and 2 others were wounded outside Motivo Nightclub in the Flatiron District early Monday morning, according to Bouncer Chronicles. According to police, Walikque Faussett was shot in the back around 4 AM in front of the club that is located on 21st Street near Broadway. The other 2 women shot included a 30 year-old who was shot in the shoulder and a 25 year-old who was shot in the hip and foot. Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital and were listed in stable condition.
The suspect of the shootings is said to be Dalone "Smack" Jamison. The 26 year-old was identified as the shooter from a photo array by one of the bouncers who had to escort him out of the club. He was taken into custody by cops from the 13th Precinct Station last night.
Club Motivo has seen violence before including the stabbing death of a New Jersey man in 2007 when it opened under the name Strata. Last year a 33 year-old woman was raped after a drug was slipped into her drink.
