Swine flu is playing havoc in Punjab. According to a report released by the state’s health ministry on Monday, twenty-six people have died of swine flu in Punjab in recent days. It is reported that till date, 183 suspected cases of H1N1 have been found, out of which 57 cases were found positive for H1N1. It is learnt that the Punjab government is well aware of the situation and on Monday has announced the constitution of a state-level advisory committee under the chairmanship of D. Behera of the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) to review the situation of H1N1 in the state and give recommendations on prevention and control of H1N1.
