Celebrity Management Group (CMG) has won the rights to hold a franchise football league in Bangladesh, which will be chaired by Argentine football legend Diego Maradona.
CMG executive director Bhaskor Goswami confirmed this to newsmen on Friday.
Earlier, Kolkata-based event management group CMG proposed to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to arrange this league, to which BFF agreed.
The tournament will feature eight teams while the 61 matches will be played at eight places on 'home and away' basis, like the Indian Super League (ISL).
Renowned coaches and players from around the world are expected to set alight the tournament, expected to be held in the later part of the year.
