Adrien-Marie Legendre was born September 18 ,1752 – January 10, 1833 was a French mathematician. Legendre made numerous contributions to mathematics. Well-known and important concepts such as the Legendre polynomials and Legendre transformation are named after him. Have we learned about Legendre in class? No. Did we learn what he invented in class? Yes. Statics was one of the things we learned in class. Legendre invented some other things like divion primes, curve fitting. Have I seen anyone use it before? Yes, my teacher, doctors and some kids at school trying to do it for homework. Why would I ever use this in the future? Because I want to become a doctor or a dentist and when you are one of those things you will have to measure thing or put a certain amount of something and you will have to do that math to get the answer. If I can invent something I would probably not know what to make. I think that because I have everything I need in math for now maybe in the future I could make a math tutor robot, why? So that tutors can spent more time teaching class and helping out more.
