Past month was very rich in meeting different people. I was lucky to be able to participate in the event at SVA where Peter Richardson was the main speaker. For those who don't know- he is a documentary film director and his must-watch "how to die in Oregon" is one of my favorite docs. In spite of the fact that the film itself raises extremely tough questions for all of us -death and euthanasia- the director is one of the most optimistic, funny and life-asserting people I've ever met. He was very supportive and helpful and gave me great piece of advice in terms of developing my documentary "love is the highest law", which I've been working on more than a year (check out the sample reel I uploaded to Filmannex)
Also, I was fortune to be a part of an interview shoot with Ronan Viktyuk who came to New York only for a couple of days. The interview is going to be a part of documentary about psychological aspect of acting and using acting techniques in everyday life. This film will be a part of documentary series for one of the national tv stations in Russia. Roman was very open in the interview and I got lucky and talked to him after the shoot about directing the film. His creative energy inspires and I hope it'll help me with mycurrent documentary project .
