In my +Minnesotaatoz series - I used something else for the "w" letter, and now I really do wish to talk about wild rice. A local delicacy - wild rice is a tougher sort of rice that seems a little bit longer than most grains of rice. Also it has a little stronger flavor and you can see it offered for sale in many shops. Also it is offered in many restaurants in the form of side dishes, soups (particularly chicken wild rice soup), and sometimes even bread. (yes, wild rice bread). I'm not sure what other areas have it, but it sure is common here. Actually I think I take for granted how much I like chicken wild rice soup. Do you have it in your area?
