It’s so good to return the childhood stage. I still remember when I was young; we’re playing boat when it has a flood. The boat is made of paper only. Shower on the rain, no matter if it’s that heavy or just quick. Sometimes we’re taking a bath on the river with out any clothes on but no malice. How nice to wade into water. It is also so cool to splash. We catch shrimps and also fishes that can be found in the river.
We’re picking up different kind of fruits like ripe tamarind, Indian mango, Kamatsile (guamachile) or pithecellobium dulce especially if it’s turning to reddish, and also the yummy guava because we can find this anywhere.
We’re stealing those eggs of birds from their nests. If there is a covey or young fowls we take them home and making them as a pet.
We also play those street games like hide and seek, jack stone, Chinese garter, the Filipino game – blocking, luksong tinik, luksong baka( sorry I don’t know these in English) and many more.
We also make small clay pot, ladle, and plate using mud. At the same time we’re making a ring and watch using banana or coconut leaves. And of course we’re making mat:P We’re playing sari-sari store using guava and mango leaves as money. Sometimes we're cutting scratches or used papers, notebooks into a rectangular then will draw numbers at the corners in any amount we like to have :) So funny! We also cutting paper card boards shaping it as a doll, then papers to make dresses of the doll we cut.
It is so good to be a child, no such problems. But we can’t be a child anymore.
