Didn't bode well when I set out today well before first light to shoot the sunrise at Warriewood Beach in Sydney's Northern Beaches area. It was raining and the whole sky was obscured by thick dark clouds. Stood on the sand in the water at the south end of the beach with an umbrella over the camera and tripod but while I was there, the subdued orange glow you see here was the only indication that the sun existed. Of course, life is perverse because when I drove back home, the sun came out!
Mostly clear? Not where I was!
