I just finished watching the new season of Mr. Selfridge and I got to say I wasn't that impressed. This season they brought in one of my favourite British actresses, Polly Walker (Rome) to play the role of Delphine. Her character was described as an independent woman who owned a night club and was a new friend to Rose Selfridge.

Delphine as a character started off strong and mysterious but in the end she was just another woman interested in Harry. There was so much more that could of happened with her character and the Selfridges. I wanted Delphine to cause some drama! Why bring on a talented actress who we know can play a devious and cunning character and make her entire reasoning be to fawn over Harry and in the end have Lady Mae warn Harry. 

I would of rather liked the season finale to be the season opener, nothing really happened this season even during the beginning of war time. At least with Downtown Abbey we got to see some wartime drama. I hope next season we'll actually see Delphine come back to cause Harry, Rose and Lady Mae trouble and the men all off fighting a war.
