The UFC has decided that Madison Square Garden is the host venue of New York's first MMA event. According to Bouncer Chronicles featherweight champion Conor McGregor will move up to 155lbs to fight lightweight heavyweight champion Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 which is scheduled to take place on November 12.
McGregor is 1 of 3 title fights on a now loaded Madison Square Garden fight card that will feature Tyrone Woodley defending his welterweight belt against Stephen "Wonder Boy" Thompson and women's straw weight champ taking on Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
According to the New York Post the UFC wants to break the 12 million MSG gate record with the first professional MMA event in New York since it was legalized finally by the state assembly in April.
