A travel portal called TripAdvisor made an annual survey to compare the cost of living for travellers in different cities of India.  The survey was conducted in nine key Indian cities which were Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata and Chandigarh and based on the cost of  three-night break during the summer travel months of June to August for two people.  Mumbai has come out as the most expensive among nine key Indian cities for the third consecutive year, while Chandigarh the most budget-friendly for the travellers.
