The first film in The Paper Cut Collection 'Munindigesional Void' has been uploaded and should be ready to view once it has been reviewed by the Film Annex team. I hope you enjoy it :)
When funds are low, but ambitions are high, basic animation has proven to be a fun and effective way to keep the film making going.
I've kinda pushed myself in a corner to improve my skills in After Effects and Pro Tools to ensure high production values from the comfort of my own room. With that, I've had to improvise with equipment. My friend lent me a Shure SM58 and a pre amp a long while ago which I fortunately still have. Combining it with a pop shield made from a pair of tights (pantyhose) and a steel coat hanger and draping a double duvet over my head, I'm very surprised with the results I got! Very little EQ polishing was needed to get it to an acceptable level.
Once the initial stint of promoting the film is over, I plan to keep the paper cut train going by moving straight on with the next one. With the skills I've improved upon, I should think the quality will take another jump on what will likely be a more challenging and meaty idea.
I hope to see you there :)
