Bangladesh on Tuesday handed left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman a Test debut in first Test against South Africa at Chittagong.
Pacer Rubel Hossain gave him the Test cap as the fellow cricketers welcomed the youngster shaking hands.
Earlier on 12 July, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 14-member squad for the two-match Test series against the Proteas.
The team include 19-year old left-arm pacer Mustafizur as a reward for his outstanding performance in the limited over format.
About Mustafizur’s inclusion, BCB National Selection Panel chairman Faruque Ahmed said, “He (Mustafizur) has already shown what he is capable of, and possibly he has been our brightest discover in recent times.”
