My Experience Collecting BITCOIN Through Bitcoin Faucets and The Reason Why I Stopped It
Hi guys ~ LookUp again here :3 in the blog this time I will not discuss about korean drama or movie, but I will discuss my experience of collecting bitcoin through bitcoin faucets. It's been a long time since I did not write a blog with topics other than korean drama or movie reviews since my last blog titled "C-CEX (Crypto-Currency Exchange), A Trading Place for Beginner". The main subject of this blog is the reason why I stopped collecting bitcoin through bitcoin faucet. So this blog is purely my personal experience. Happy reading guys~!!!
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and a payment system invented by an unidentified programmer, or group of programmers, under the name of Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin was introduced on 31 October 2008 to a cryptography mailing list, and released as open-source software in 2009. -wikipedia-

My First Experience with Bitcoin
As I have told in my previous blog, I know bitcoin for the first time in 2014. Perhaps because that time I have a lot of free time, and like the others, I want to make money from the internet. Actually I forgot where I first knew bitcoin. Maybe I know it from a blog of my search results through google. At first I really did not understand what is bitcoin, how to get it, and how to withdraw them to the bank and turn it into money. Over time, little by little I began to understand how bitcoin works and how to get it.

Bitcoin faucets are a reward system, in the form of a website or app, that dispenses rewards in the form of a satoshi, which is a hundredth of a millionth BTC, for visitors to claim in exchange for completing a captcha or task as described by the website. -wikipedia-
Like the most newbies about bitcoin, I started collecting bitcoin through bitcoin faucet, because it was very popular at that time. Little by little, I began to collect bitcoin via bitcoin faucet and if you have done this before, then you must have known that the amount that you get from the bitcoin faucet is not much, but at that time I could gather 300k satoshi each week. Not much, but I'm happy :D I forgot when I started to leave bitcoin faucet but below I will explain why I stopped playing bitcoin faucet.

Low reward if you are unlucky
Most bitcoin faucet uses a system of fortune, they use an algorithm where the amount of bitcoin obtained has been predetermined by system, like 1% for 50k - 100k satoshi, 10% for 1k - 2k satoshi, 80% for 100 satoshi - 500 satoshi, etc. Or usually bitcoin faucet will use numbers that are randomly selected to determine the amount of bitcoin you get and of course the chances where you will get a big reward is low. But, yeah, actually you can become rich if you are lucky because in bitcoin faucet sometimes there is a reward up to 0.1 BTC, and if you are not lucky then you will only get bitcoin in small amount.

Hard work required for small amount
Commonly there are several steps we must follow in a bitcoin faucet so that we can claim its reward. First, we usually have to fill bitcoin address and then completed the given captcha, and the last is clicking claim button. It may look easy but sometimes also very annoying. There are many cases that I encountered when I have to fill out the given captcha, but the captcha was unreadable and I have to refresh it several times or just skipped it, or cases where the captcha shown an error message and I have to start over again.
captcha: a computer program or system intended to distinguish human from machine input, typically as a way of thwarting spam and automated extraction of data from websites. -oxforddictionaries-
There are also cases where the owners of bitcoin faucet intentionally hide the claim button, by making it smaller and put it between ads. Or one where I had to wait 30 seconds or more to be able to click the claim button. After the hard work above, in the end I only got a small reward, which sometimes made me irritated.
Heavy load websites with annoying ads
Most of bitcoin faucet owners will put ads into their websites because it can not be denied that their income for keeping the faucet running is also derived from the ads they display. But they sometimes put excessive ads on their website which is make the website heavy to load. Sometimes it annoyed me, especially when they put up pop up ads where once you click on the web page then automatically a new window will appear on browser which is sometimes not just one page.

To simplify and make it faster to collect bitcoin through bitcoin faucet, I opened many bitcoin faucet websites at the same time, usually I open up many new tab in the browser. So with the problems above my laptop became laggy, in the end the browser was not responding and crashed.
Wasting time
Each bitcoin faucet there is waiting time for you in order to claim the reward again after you claimed once. Like after 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 60 minutes, 360 minutes, etc. The longer the time, then usually you will get bigger amount of satoshi. Yeah, bitcoin faucet is good way to wasting your time. Because you will be kept busy all the time to complete the captcha, past the annoying ads, finding the claim button, etc, but you only get small amount of bitcoin after wasting your time.

After experiencing various problems above, finally I decided to stopped collecting bitcoin through bitcoin faucet. Probably because at that time bitcoin prices was down, and the effort and time I spend is not comparable with the results obtained.
Based on explanation above and my experience, I can not fully say that collecting bitcoin through bitcoin faucet is a bad thing. Bitcoin faucet may be good for you if you are still new about bitcoin because little by little you will know more about things related to bitcoin.

If you still want to collect bitcoin through bitcoin faucet, here is a few tips from me:
- Make sure you have fast internet connection so you can work faster
- Choose a bitcoin faucet that has a long waiting time between each claim such as 60 minutes, 120 minutes, 180 minutes, etc, as they tend to give bigger satoshi and to avoid wasting time
- Avoid bitcoin faucet website that put pop up ads, because it would be very disturbing
- Use bitcoin faucet rotator, it will make you easier to collect bitcoin
- Use bitcoin faucet apps for your phone
- Find more referrals from your friend or anyone, because it will be great help for your income
That is it, my little experience about collecting bitcoin through bitcoin faucet. I would still recommend you to use bitcoin faucet if you are new about bitcoin and try other cryptocurrencies too, like DOGE, ETH, LTC, etc.
