Today is the day! The release of my latest short ‘Falling’ which is premiering right here on Film Annex, so please head over to the link and watch it. When Harry ventures up to the top of a building to jump, the last thing he expects is for Lisa to have the exact same thing in mind. Now they both have a huge decision to make, do they go together? Or not at all?
The film features Smari Gunn & Natasha Gharbawi in the two roles. We shot the film over one day down in London on the 3rd of March, since then I have been working hard on the edit and today is the day its finished and ready to be screened.
I think the end is possibly one of the hardest parts of the process in filmmaking. Excepting that the film is done and there is nothing more you can do is a difficult thing for me. I find myself going back and changing the length of a shot by a few frames and then thinking to myself, that makes absolutely no difference to the story! But I think this is something that most filmmakers experience.
I have gone through this film over and over again! I know every shot, line, cut and frame of this film so much that I feel like I can never watch it again. But this is the same with the rest of my films, you just need some time away to see it as a film again.
To anyone interested about the shoot I will be releasing the making of next month, which will be followed by the director’s commentary a few weeks later. Also I blog every week so keep checking to see what festivals the film will be screened at and also for updates about future projects
