My Official Underwear Photo! By Ambassador mo

Posted on at

Just in case someone claims that they a have a picture of me in my underwear, I want to put out my official photo. After Congressman Anthony Weiner in the end admitted that he had sent a few, maybe more than a few, photos of himself in his underwear, I thought I would get out in front of any story that could reveal me in my underwear. I don’t want to make the mistake of denying the story like Weiner. I just want to make sure it’s a good picture. Of course my wife and I have a difference of opinion which of the above two photos to forward. (Unlike Congressman Weiner, I consult with my wife before “sexting.”) But, here is the first question that kind of troubles me - Is this really sexting and why in his underwear? Did he just jump out of a cold bath? I mean after you go that far, why not all the way? Sexting, Lying, Hypocrisy Just to get a bit more serious. I generally find kinship with Congressman Weiner’s politics. I do not “sext,” but that is between him and his significant other(s), although it can send the wrong message to more impressionable minds when sexting is developing into a teen problem. However, why should sexting be judged any worse than in person risky sexual behavior and where do we draw the line between private and public issues? This is not Dominique Strauss Kahn. Lying initially about being hacked was bad judgment by Congressman Weiner and potentially an unethical and even criminal matter, (if it had been reported to police especially). This one gives me the most trouble. Hypocrite on sex issues Congressman Anthony Weiner is not. He has not been out there preaching and condemning. Hypocrisy is the root of much evil, especially when individuals do not want to recognize their own personal contradictions and frailties. I do not want to judge Congressman Weiner on the basis of his sexual behavior even if it crosses into indiscretion. I would not support his effort to stay in office if I believed he was hypocritical and luckily he has more promptly than not corrected his original lie. Should Congressman Weiner face electoral or perhaps even censure from his Congressional colleagues or criminal prosecution for his initial lie? I wait for the facts a bit further.
