My Tambakol-Yellow fin Tuna in Miso (FishHead Sinigang sa Miso/Tamarind Soup)

Ingredients:

  • Medium size of Yellow fin tuna about 1/2 a kilo
  • Ripe Tamarind 1 cup-Optional Tamarind Powder for 1.2 litter of Soup
  • Mustard greens leaves - 5-8 stalk
  • Miso 1 cup
  • Red Onion, medium size cut into 8 part
  • Tomato, mediums size 2 pcs. cut into strips
  • Garlic minced, 4 cloves
  • Long Green Chili
  • Salt or Fish Sauce-amount is according to your taste
  • Water-1.2 litter
  • Cooking Oil for sauteing
  • Optional you can also add other vegetables slices like Eggplant or Radish, Okra (lady finger) and String beans but mine is simple as Mustard and chili.

Procedure:

  1. Saute garlic, and onion in cooking oil  until slightly brown before adding the tomato then continue sauteing until the tomatoes are wrinkled, add the miso and stir for another minute.
  2. Add water, salt or fish sauce then the fish and the mustard leaves if you add other veggies add it in between easy and hard to cook veggies.
  3. Simmer until veggies and fish are cook.
  4. Serve Hot, perfect paired with plain rice.
