NATIONAL ANTHEM OF PAKISTAN
The national anthem of Pakistan was officially adopted as Pakistan's national anthem in August 1954.The lyrics of the national anthem of Pakistan were written by Hafeez Jallundhri.

 

 

The music of national anthem was composed by Ahmag G. Chagla in 1949.

 

Twenty-one musical instruments and thirty-eight different tones are used to play the national anthem of Pakistan, the duration of which is 80 seconds.
The Urdu lyrics of the anthem have commanlity with Persian, and thus is understandable in both languages.There are three stanzas in the national anthem and no verse is repeated.

پاک سرزمین شاد باد
May the holy land, stay glad;

كشورِ حسين شاد باد
Beautious realm, stay glad.

تُو نشانِ عزمِ عالی شان
Thou, the sign of high resolve—

ارضِ پاکستان!‏
Land of Pakistan!

مرکزِ یقین شاد باد
Citadel of faith, stay glad.

پاک سرزمین کا نظام
Order of the holy land,

قوّتِ اُخوّتِ عوام
Power of fraternity of the populace;

قوم، ملک، سلطنت
Nation, country, and domain;

پاینده تابنده باد!‏
Ever luminous remain!

شاد باد منزلِ مراد
The cherished goal, stay glad.

پرچمِ ستاره و ہلال
Flag with the star and crescent,

رہبرِ ترقّی و کمال
Leader of progress and ascent,

ترجمانِ ماضی، شانِ حال
The Dragoman of the past, pride of present;

جانِ استقبال!
Soul of the future!

سایۂ خدائے ذوالجلال
Shadow of the God of grandeur.
